Connection and setup

Setting up your account

If you still need to open and verify your broker account, start with Client-broker onboarding.

How do I connect my account?

Each risk profile has its own dedicated connection portal:

If activating multiple risk profiles, complete the setup separately on each portal.

Full instructions and a video tutorial are provided after purchase.

How long does activation take?

Once you've submitted your account details in the BTC Breakout dashboard, your licence is activated. You must then complete the connection setup of your chosen risk profile with our cloud hosting partner. You'll start receiving trade signals into your MT4 account upon successfully connecting by following our setup instructions.

What is the 45-day activation window?

After purchase, you have 45 days to activate each risk profile. This gives you time to set up broker accounts and complete verification without pressure.

What are the connection portals?

BTC Breakout uses three dedicated portals — one for each risk profile:

  • lowrisk.btcbreakout.com — For Low Risk connections (Vantage)

  • mediumrisk.btcbreakout.com — For Medium Risk connections (Star Trader)

  • highrisk.btcbreakout.com — For High Risk connections (PU Prime)

Each portal is whitelabeled — you'll see BTC Breakout branding, not the underlying technology provider's name.

What if I want to use multiple risk profiles?

If you're activating multiple risk profiles, you'll need to complete the setup process separately on each portal. Each risk profile requires its own dedicated MT4 account and its own portal registration.

Why do I need to use my master/trading password?

The investor password (read-only) does not allow trade execution. You must use your master/trading password to enable the software to open and close trades on your behalf.

Does the software automatically set all risk parameters?

The software automatically calculates lot sizes based on your current balance — you don't need to adjust trade sizes manually. However, during initial setup you will configure your copier settings (Risk Type, Multiplier, etc.) following our step-by-step guide. Once configured correctly, the system runs automatically.

Can I manually trade on the connected account?

No. Manual trading is not permitted on accounts connected to BTC Breakout. Mixing manual trades with the software interferes with the risk model and can cause overlapping positions, ultimately leading to potential total loss of funds.

Troubleshooting

I see "Registration session expired" on the connection portal — what do I do?

This message can appear when creating your account on the cloud hosting partner portal (lowrisk/mediumrisk/highrisk.btcbreakout.com) during the 10pm–11pm UK maintenance window. In 9 out of 10 cases, your registration actually succeeded — simply try logging in to the portal with your credentials. If login fails, re-register outside the maintenance window.

My account isn't copying trades — what should I check?

  1. Verify you're using your master/trading password (not investor password)

  2. Check that your copier is set to ON in the portal

  3. Ensure BTCUSD is the only enabled symbol

  4. Confirm your Risk Type is set to "Risk multiplier by balance" with multiplier 1.00

  5. Make sure you're connected to the correct portal for your risk profile

How do I disconnect from BTC Breakout?

Simply change your MT4 trading password. This immediately revokes the software's ability to place trades on your account.

Can I reconnect after disconnecting?

Yes. Update your credentials through your BTC Breakout dashboard and reconfigure your connection at your risk profile's portal (lowrisk/mediumrisk/highrisk.btcbreakout.com).

Can I pause my account?

You can disconnect at any time by changing your MT4 password. Alternatively, you can temporarily pause trade copying by toggling the play/start button in your cloud hosting account.
